Hopi Hills
Hopi Hills is a charming farmstay located in Akaigawa, near Kiroro Ski Resort. Enjoy horseback riding and playing with a family of baby rabbits, ducklings, ponies, alpacas, goats and even an ostrich at the petting farm. Dine on locally sourced grilled dishes before falling asleep in comfortable yurts that sleep up to four people and come with a heater and a specially designed clear dome roof that lets you look up at the stars as you drift away.

Cottage House Bongo

Yoteizan Makkari Campsite 
This campsite at the foot of Mt. Yotei is ideal for hikers (especially the Makkari Course) and those wanting to cool down and enjoy the mountain’s natural spring water. There are clean bathrooms and shower facilities and free park golf. Makkari Onsen is a seven-minute drive away.

Sunayu Campsite
Lake Kussharo was named by the Ainu because hot springs ooze from the lake’s sandy beach. Campers can dig their own hot springs on the shores of the lake. Although you will have to bring all your equipment and gear, this affordable campsite only charges ¥500 per person. There is a shared bathroom on site and campers can dig their own hot springs on the shores of the lake.

Kinoko-no-Sato Aibetsu Autocamp
This campsite built along the Ishikari River overlooks majestic Daisetsuzan. Cool down in the pond, play a round of park golf or go fishing. ¥1,000 per tent and extra charge for tent and sleeping bag rentals. Popular sightseeing attractions such as Furano, Biei and Asahikawa are an hour drive away.

Wake up in a beautiful forest as curious deer wander through. This campsite is located near Sounkyo Gorge and campers can enjoy cycling and fishing. There is an entry charge of ¥350 per person, ¥500 per tent and ¥3,000 for bungalow rentals.

Shirogane Yaei Campsite
Camp just five minutes away from the famous Blue Pond. The azure waters of Biei run through this forest popular for bird watching and hot springs. The campsite charges ¥400 per person and ¥3,500 for cabin rentals.

Part of Onuma Quasi National Park, this free campsite sits on the shores of Lake Onuma overlooking an active volcano, Mt. Komagatake. The campsite features a shared outdoor kitchen and bathrooms. Reservations not required.
