Snow Splash – Mountain Music Festival
Outdoor Japan’s sixth annual Snow Splash events are part ski weekend, part music festival and a whole lot of fun. Ski, snowboard or onsen by day and then enjoy some live acoustic, reggae, ska and rock artists. The vibe is always fun and friendly, and buses run from Tokyo to the events. This year Snow Splash returns to Canyons Alpine Lodge in Minakami, Gunma, and The Pub at the Mominoki Hotel. Activities also available such as snowshoe and backcountry tours and ski and snowboard lessons. Artists include the Shapeshifter Sound System (from New Zealand), Volgrooma, SKAFF-LINKS, Arisa Safu & the Rovers, Todd Wilkes, Tex & the Sunflower Seed, W.E.T. Bandwagon, Caribbean Dandy, DJ Fergus, DJ Spiritus and more. Check the Website for updates. Tickets are just ¥2,500 (advanced) and ¥3,000 (at the door) with welcome drink and a full night of music and entertainment.
