LIFE NOTES
Japan Environmental Action Network (JEAN)
Did you enjoy the beach this summer? Summer may be over, but there is still time to look after our precious ocean. Japan Environmental Action Network (JEAN) joins a worldwide coastline clean-up campaign during September and October.

More than 80 countries are participating in this simultaneous beach clean. The origin and type of trash collected will be analyzed to help solve the ocean garbage issue. Less garbage means a happier, healthier marine environment. But the vicious cycle will continue until we stop dumping trash in the sea. Show the ocean you care by joining the campaign.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Rakusui

What better way to enjoy home-style Okinawa food than amidst beautiful Okinawan nature. Rakusui was built while making an effort to preserve the surrounding nature. The result, a warm, natural feel and a dining experience you can enjoy with all five senses. There’s a small waterfall running down the bare rock wall, fresh ocean breezes, a comfortable tatami room with a view of the ocean and a white sand beach. You can also enjoy some Okinawan landscape paintings in the art gallery space.
